Label Place Guideline

Introduction

Thank you for using the Service "Label Place" provided by Brother Industries, Ltd. (hereinafter "Brother", "we", or "our"). We have established this Guideline to ensure that customers (hereinafter "customer(s)", "you", or "your") can safely and appropriately print and create labels using Label Place.
We kindly ask for your understanding and utilization, so that more people can enjoy creating and sharing labels using Label Place.

Features of Label Place

Label Place is a sharing platform where customers can post their own designed labels, usage examples, templates, etc., aiming to connect customers who use Label Place, promote communication and label creation.
Any templates posted by you can be used by other customers in the following ways. Please follow these conditions upon using Label Place.

The templates posted by you can be downloaded and printed by other customers.
If you permit modifying at the time of posting, other customers can modify and repost templates created by you.

Scope of this Guideline

1. Key functions of Label Place

Account of Customer By creating an account in the online membership program provided by our subsidiary, Brother Sales Ltd., you can download the content (including templates) within Label Place.
Templates posted by customers Customers can post their own designed or modified templates. Note that templates of labels created by customers can be designed and modified within the P-touch Design&Print2 app, which is integrated with Label Place.
Contents exchanged by Points Some content provided by Brother in Label Place can be downloaded and used for labels by exchanging points you owned.

2. Account of Customer, Templates posted by Customers

Customers can post their own designed label templates, images of usage examples, and descriptions.
Please take note of the following when posting:

The templates posted by you (including images and texts within the templates) can be downloaded by other customers for label template design. Please be careful that if personal information is included, there is a risk of leakage or unauthorized activities related to your personal information. Please only post if you wish to distribute your templates.
Customers can choose whether to allow or disallow other customers to modify and repost your templates. If you permit others to modify and repost, please select "Allow" for reposting by others. If you do not permit others to modify and repost, please select "Disallow" for reposting by others.
The designs for labels, images of usage examples, descriptions, and templates posted by you can be downloaded and used by others without explicitly making reference to your account even after your withdrawal from Label Place. Customer content posted before your withdrawal may continue to be provided on this service, including your information in the content. If you do not wish for others to use your content after withdrawal, please delete the posts before withdrawing.

3. Important Notes for creation and posting of template

Company respects the rights held by creators, owners, and administrators of artworks and designs (including characters, logos, symbols, patterns, etc.).
Customers are also required to show respect to other users and rights holders (not limited to those using Label Place) and to respect their rights. he designs used by customers on Label Place should be those created by the customers themselves, explicitly authorized by rights holders, or legally allowed for use by the customers on Label Place.

Content can be created and posted.
Example:
- Designs and illustrations created by customers themselves
- Photos, designs, and illustrations transferred from others, including all rights to use in Label Place
- Customer's own images (excluding third-party trademarks or logos)
Content cannot be created and posted.
Example:
- Designs and illustrations created by customers themselves
- Photos, designs, and illustrations transferred from others, including all rights to use in Label Place
- Customer's own images (excluding third-party trademarks or logos) Example:
- Content that includes the names or logos of well-known products, services, or stores
- Content that includes well-known individuals, individuals, affiliations, or organizations
- Content that includes images taken from websites or social media platforms, magazines, books, films, or other publications
- Images that include other people's portraits (including face photos), characters, or artwork
- Content that includes third-party personal information without consent for publication

4. Prohibited Actions

Please refrain from engaging in the following actions on your customer account and user-posted labels:

Deceptive Actions
Do not engage in impersonation or misrepresent your relationship with individuals or organizations. Please avoid posting false or misleading content that may cause confusion or intentionally spread misinformation.
Spamming
Please refrain from artificially collecting "likes" or repeatedly posting the same comments or content. Additionally, do not offer cash (including cash equivalents) in exchange for "likes" or "follows."
Engaging in Criminal or Harmful Activities
Do not post content that compromises community safety or trust.
Violating the Law
Label Place does not support the buying or selling of prohibited goods or engaging in criminal activities. Please ensure that your posts and activities comply with the law.
Posting Images or Content without Appropriate Sharing Rights
Only post images you have taken or content for which you have the right to share.
Exposing Personal Information without consent for publication
Please refrain from posting content that includes personal or confidential information without consent for publication.
Posting Content Intended to Harass or Criticize Label Place or Other Customers
Avoid posting content that degrades Label Place, other users, or third parties, including content intended to harass, criticize, or insult. Do not post content that insults other users or third parties.
Posting Dangerous Goods or Activities
Please do not post content related to regulated goods or content that promotes or supports dangerous or hazardous activities.
Posting Violent Content
Do not post content that is violent or promotes or supports violence.
Posting Content Intended for Slander, Threats, or Hate Speech
Do not post content intended for threats, hate activities, slander against third parties including other users, or defamation of character. Please refrain from posting content that contains prejudice or discrimination.
Exploiting Minors or Endangering Minors
Please do not post content that exploits minors or endangers them.
Posting Adult Content
Please refrain from posting adult content or content that includes explicit sexual expressions.
Engaging in Self-Harm or Harmful Actions
Do not post content that justifies or promotes self-harm or content that may harm other users.

Please note that if any usage or post that violates the above is found, we may delete the customer's account or post without any notification to the customer. We recommend that you save the design and templates of the labels to be posted in advance.

5. Contents exchanged by Points

Customers can earn Label Place Points related to the use of Label Place. Label Place Points that customers earn can be exchanged for point content (templates, emojis, fonts) that can be used for creating label templates or printing label tapes within Label Place. Point content can be used by customers for creating label templates or printing label tapes, but the created label templates and printed label tapes cannot be used for commercial purposes or transferred, lent, sold, etc. to third parties. Please use label tapes including point content only within the scope of personal or household use.

6. Social Media Posts

Customers can post images of created contents, examples of use, and related comments via Label Place to external social media platforms. The content of the photos and comments posted on social media is the responsibility of the poster. When posting to social media, please abide by the terms of use of the corresponding social media. Please be careful not to infringe on the rights of third parties (copyright, privacy, trademark, etc.) with the posted photos and comments.
