PE-DESIGN 11 Trial Version

Introduction

This is a trial version of PE-DESIGN 11 which allows you to try PE-DESIGN 11 (Personal Embroidery Design Software System) with limited functions.

  • Brother is not responsible for damage to or loss of any equipment, media, programs or data related to the use of this trial version.
  • If a product version of PE-DESIGN 11 has already been installed on your PC, do not install this trial version.
  • If you purchase a product version of PE-DESIGN 11, be sure to uninstall this trial version before installing the product version.
  • In order to install the software on Windows Operating System, you must log on to the computer using an account with administrator privileges. For details on logging on to the computer using an account with administrator privileges, refer to the Windows manual.

Read before downloading

To download the software, follow the steps below.

  1. Click the Download link above for the desired language.
  2. End-User License Agreement for Brother Software window will appear.
  3. After reading the End-User License Agreement (EULA), click I Accept button if you agree.
  4. The file download will start.
  5. After downloading the file, go back to this page and refer to the following installation instructions.

Before installing the software on your computer, make sure that the computer meets the following minimum PC requirements.

How to install the program to your hard drive

This section describes how to install the software.

  1. Double-click on the downloaded ped11trial_eng/_fre/_ger/_dut/_ita/_spa/_por.exe file with File Explorer.
  2. The User Account Control dialog box appears.
  3. Click Yes.
  4. The InstallShield Wizard for PE-DESIGN 11 (Trial Version) starts up, and the first dialog box appears.
  5. Follow the installation screen directions to install the software.
  6. When the dialog box of installation completion appears, click Finish to complete the installation of the software.

* After finishing the installation, it is no problem to delete the downloaded file "ped11trial_eng/_fre/_ger/_dut/_ita/_spa/_por.exe".

How to uninstall the program from your hard drive

This section describes how to uninstall the software.

  1. Click Start button (Start button) , and then click Settings button (Settings).
  2. Click Apps .
  3. In the Apps & features window, select PE-DESIGN 11 (Trial Version) and click Uninstall.

    ⇒ The message This app and its related info will be uninstalled. will be displayed.

  4. Click Uninstall. If User Account Control message appears, click Yes.

Starting Up the Application

This section describes how to start up the software.

  1. Click Start button (Start button). A list of applications appears.
  2. Click PE-DESIGN 11 (Layout & Editing), which appears under the title PE-DESIGN 11 (Trial Version).
  3. When the application starts up, the Startup Wizard will appear.

Differences between the trial version and the product version

The trial version of PE-DESIGN 11 does not have the following functions.
Also, the trial version has less sample data than the product version.

  • Saving a created data
  • Transferring a design to a card, a USB media and a machine
  • Transferring a design to a machine via wireless network
  • Transferring a design by using the Link function
  • Outputting Name Drop data
  • Importing a design from a card or a machine
  • Importing a design from a machine via wireless network
  • Wireless network connectivity
  • Exporting an FCM File
  • Exporting a design into other formats
  • Printing
  • Converting TrueType Font to an embroidery pattern

The following applications and features are not available on the trial version of PE-DESIGN 11.

  • Design Center, Programmable Stitch Creator, Font Creator, Design Database, Stitch Design Factory and Link
  • Displaying the embroidery designs in PES format as thumbnails with File Explorer.

How to open Online Instruction Manual

An Online Instruction Manual is available. To open the manual, follow the procedure below. (Internet access is required.)

Viewing from the Start screen

Click Start button (Start button). Click the title PE-DESIGN 11 (Trial Version) and then select Online Instruction Manual.

Click Help in the menu bar at the top of the window, and then select
